Born in Western Australia, Anna Willoughby completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specialising in Printmaking at RMIT University in 2009. Graduating with high distinction, Anna won the 2009 Open Bite Student Prize, and was a finalist in the Port Jackson Press Graduate Printmaking Prize. With a passion for printmaking, Anna has since become involved in the West Australian and Victorian printmaking communities, winning the West Australian Printmedia Digital and Best Edition Award in 2010, and the Experimental Award in 2012.

Anna has been inspired by mentors at Sydney College of the Arts, RMIT Printmaking and others during her time abroad in the U.S.A, France, Spain and Mexico. In 2010 she undertook training with renowned Danish printmaker, Henrik Boegh, at Grafisk Eksperimentarium Studios in Spain, and co-curated the international project 'Exchange'. Since her move to regional Victoria, Anna has extended her experience as an Arts educator through her work as a teacher, administrative manager, curator and tutor at the The G.R.A.I.N. Store (regional Arts hub) and local schools. Anna works primarily in the medium of printmaking and drawing, reflecting on relationships between environments, images and memory.
